Asmos at Caucasus University: Turning Customer Behavior Into Better Online Conversions

Discover how Asmos and Caucasus University helped students explore customer behavior, ecommerce conversion optimization, and A/B testing through a practical workshop.
October 5, 2026 | Tbilisi, Georgia
On October 5, 2026, Asmos, an AI-powered ecommerce conversion optimization platform developed by Klics, delivered a practical workshop at Caucasus University in Tbilisi, Georgia, in collaboration with the university's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
The workshop, “How to Understand Customer Behavior and Increase Online Sales,” brought students closer to the practical challenges businesses face when turning website visitors into customers.
Led by Saba Arudashvili, Co-Founder and CEO of Asmos and Klics, the session combined real ecommerce examples, customer behavior analysis, interactive exercises, and an introduction to data-driven conversion optimization.

Understanding What Happens Between Interest and Conversion
Generating website traffic is only one part of growing an online business. What happens after visitors arrive often determines whether that traffic translates into actual business results.
Why do potential customers leave without purchasing? What makes one offer more convincing than another? How can businesses identify which changes genuinely improve performance?
These questions formed the foundation of the workshop.
Participants explored how customer decisions are shaped by clarity, perceived value, trust, simplicity, and the overall digital experience.
The objective was to introduce a practical way of evaluating digital customer journeys: understand the customer's intended action, identify potential barriers, develop improvement hypotheses, and validate them through experimentation.
From Real Ecommerce Problems to Practical Experiments
Rather than relying exclusively on theoretical marketing frameworks, the workshop used real ecommerce websites and business scenarios to examine how digital experiences influence customer behavior.
Students analyzed customer journeys, identified potential conversion barriers, and proposed improvements based on their observations.
The practical exercises introduced three important areas of conversion rate optimization (CRO):
Customer behavior and conversion barriers: Understanding where visitors hesitate, lose interest, or abandon a journey before completing an intended action.
Segmentation and personalized experiences: Exploring how different customer groups may respond to different messages, offers, and interaction points.
A/B testing and experimentation: Developing hypotheses and understanding how businesses can compare alternative experiences using measurable outcomes.
A central principle guided these exercises: what we observe creates a hypothesis; what customers actually do provides the evidence.
This distinction is important in ecommerce, where design preferences and assumptions do not always reflect how customers make decisions.

Introducing Asmos: From Conversion Ideas to Measurable Improvements
The workshop also introduced participants to Asmos and its approach to ecommerce conversion optimization.
Asmos is an AI-powered platform designed to help ecommerce businesses create, test, and continuously optimize website popups and on-site conversion experiences.
Instead of treating a popup as a static marketing element, Asmos approaches it as an experience that can be improved through experimentation.
The platform brings together AI-assisted experience creation, conversion analysis, testing, and ongoing optimization to help businesses make more informed decisions about how they engage website visitors.
During the session, participants explored how Asmos can support the process of identifying conversion opportunities, developing targeted experiences, and evaluating alternative approaches.
Students working on ecommerce or startup projects were also offered an opportunity to access Asmos and explore its practical applications beyond the workshop.
Workshop Outcomes: Applying Marketing Knowledge to Business Decisions
The workshop provided participants with hands-on exposure to the process behind conversion optimization.
By working through real business scenarios, students practiced identifying customer experience problems, developing potential solutions, and framing those solutions as experiments rather than guaranteed improvements.
The session connected several disciplines—marketing, business strategy, user experience, and data-driven decision-making—through a common business objective: helping more visitors complete meaningful actions.
It also created an opportunity for students to become familiar with the technologies and experimentation methods increasingly relevant to ecommerce businesses.
While the workshop focused on learning and hypothesis development rather than measuring live sales improvements, its practical outcome was a clearer understanding of how businesses can move from assumptions toward evidence-based optimization.
Connecting Ecommerce Technology With Practical Education
For Asmos, the workshop reflects a broader commitment to sharing applied knowledge about customer behavior, digital sales, and conversion optimization.
The session was led by Saba Arudashvili, who is also a winner and mentor of CUnicorn, the pre-acceleration program run by Caucasus University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
This connection brings practical startup-building experience into the university environment and creates opportunities for students to explore the relationship between emerging technologies and real business challenges.
Asmos continues to develop AI-powered tools that help ecommerce brands make better conversion decisions. Educational initiatives provide another way to share the thinking, methodologies, and practical experience behind that work.
The goal is straightforward: make conversion optimization more accessible, understandable, and actionable for the next generation of marketers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

Looking Ahead
The Caucasus University workshop forms part of Asmos's wider educational engagement with universities and entrepreneurial communities.
By combining practical exercises with real-world ecommerce technology, these sessions aim to narrow the gap between classroom concepts and the decisions businesses make every day.
We thank Caucasus University and its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center for hosting the workshop, and all participating students for their engagement, questions, and contributions.
Caucasus University also published an official recap of the workshop.
